Selfie
Part 1 Selfies vs.Portraits
Niall's selfie Niall's portrait
1. A selfie is a picture you take of yourself with the front camera of your phone there usually not the best quality and they are usually embarrassing so you really don't want to show anyone .
2. An image of oneself taken by oneself using a digital camera especially for posting on social networks. 3. To take a selfie you must tilt your head at an angle, find the perfect light, find your signature pose, hold the camera above your head and just take the picture. 4. the characteristics of this selfie are he's in a car , he's not smiling he's expression looks like kinda a puppy face and he used a filter that kinda makes the picture yellow. |
1. what makes this picture is that someone professional is taking the picture of Niall you can see that he took time to tell him how to pose and the lighting and its very edited.
2. It should look like someone took time to take the picture and you cant see any mistakes like if someone has a really big pimple and you can't even tell like he literally looks flawless. IT should look like the person is flawless . 3. In my opinion i think a portrait is art because you took time to make it your own you did not just clicked the button you looked at how the model should pose and if you like the background is the lighting right what you should edit . 4. The characteristics of the portrait I picked are he has a microphone in his hand Niall is on stage with a big smile on his face you can see the lights in the background he looks flawless. |
Part 3
1. whats similar about the two images is its the same person he's posing in both and he looks happy.
2. whats different about both images is in the selfie the selfie one he's more relaxed, its not really good quality you can see that he used a filter that is a yellowish color that really isn't a great color for Niall and with the portrait you can see he doesn't look like he's gonna throw up the light is much better it looks like someone took time to get the lighting right and then edit it.
3. Niall is not doing the same pose in the selfie and the portrait because in the selfie his in a car he kinda has a puppy face he's trying to show us that he's doing something and in the portrait he's on stage holding a microphone he's looking at his fan's he's kinda leaning in one of his legs.
4. It really doesn't matter if he's not posing the same way in his pictures its good to take different type of selfies i think he didnt pose the same way because one is a professional picture some told him how to take the picture and of course he wasn't in the same background when he was taking the portrait, in my opinion the portrait is better because he looks really happy and it shows us that he loves what he does and he's fans.
5. The characteristics of the selfie is his trying to show us something, he is kinda making a puppy face , the filter he choose makes him look like he's sick, and he's in a car.
6. the characteristics of the selfie and portrait differ from each other because one is professionally taken and the other was taken by the famous person
7. In my opinion the image society would value the most is the portrait because he payed money to hire a professional photographer and the photographer knows what he's doing he made Niall look flawless.
8. In my opinion the image i would consider art is the portrait because he took time to see if the lighting was right and then he/she took time to make the picture flawless.
9. I think a selfie is considered lower form of imagery because you don't have to do the same steps higher considered imagery has to do so the picture can be a good picture, I don't think thats why i just think to take a selfie you don't have to go to college and practice doing it and get a degree.
2. whats different about both images is in the selfie the selfie one he's more relaxed, its not really good quality you can see that he used a filter that is a yellowish color that really isn't a great color for Niall and with the portrait you can see he doesn't look like he's gonna throw up the light is much better it looks like someone took time to get the lighting right and then edit it.

Part 4:Famous vs. a selfie of yourself
Eva Gutowski selfie's My selfie's
1. What is similar about these photos is where both doing the same pose and were both in a part of our house, we tried to get the perfect lighting to take the picture.
2. What is different about these photos is obviously different people are taking the selfie eva has makeup on i don't, and her selfie looks more natural and she looks comfortable mine is awkward and weird.
3. My selfie is imitating the famous because i took the way she was posing and used it for my selfie's and tried to get the same lighting as she was using and i tried having the same background as her.
4. Where I think the selfie was taken was her a hallway of her house and her room, I think the selfie was taken there because she liked her makeup or her outfit and she found the lighting right to take a picture so she took it. 5. Selfies do have to be taken in a certain location you need to be in a location where the lighting is good and it makes your face look good, also you cant be in a location where its dirty imagine you take a picture in your room and your bed isn't made and you have clothes all over the place instead of people looking at your selfie there gonna be to distracted looking at how a slob you are.
6. I think we see selfies so often being taken in a bathroom because you have privacy, the lights of a bathroom are usually very bright and the brightness makes your face look like it doesn't have acne. I think people take selfies in front of a mirror because they want to show people there outfits.
7. Each selfie is unique because we can change our clothes and the way we do our makeup and you can always make another weird face when your taking a picture and I think every selfie is the same because every body takes a selfie when they think they look good.
2. What is different about these photos is obviously different people are taking the selfie eva has makeup on i don't, and her selfie looks more natural and she looks comfortable mine is awkward and weird.
